A love drama set in a religious setting, a man is forced to inherit his father's promise to preserve an abandoned mosque.The story begins when Kertanegara (Roy Marten), a local conglomerate finds an abandoned mosque and he meets Abu Priyo, the caretaker of the mosque. Abu asks Kertanegara to renovate the mosque. However, shortly after the mosque was renovated, Abu died. Kertanegara remembers Abu's promise to bring more people to pray, therefore he approaches Abu's son, Aryaputra (Reza Rahadian) to fulfill his father's promise, unfortunately, Aryaputra has a different purpose in life
